Network of Interdisciplinary Initiatives Assemblies
The Network of Interdisciplinary Initiatives (NII) is a network of participants and leaders in interdisciplinary research, creative work, education and training initiatives at the University of Minnesota. The Network, organized under the auspices of the Office of Interdisciplinary Initiatives (OII), is charged with assessing the challenges to, and opportunities for, collaboration across disciplinary boundaries, and identifying key policy changes and best practices for advancing interdisciplinary inquiry. More than 230 faculty and staff at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Duluth campuses have joined the NII. The Office of Interdisciplinary Initiatives hosts NII Assemblies in the fall and spring of each year to provide a forum for NII members to discuss new issues related to interdisciplinary activity, and to help identify priorities for action.
SAVE THE DATE: SPRING 2009 NII ASSEMBLY, MONDAY, APRIL 20, 3:00-5:15 PM IN THE MISSISSIPPI ROOM, COFFMAN MEMORIAL UNION and 173 KIRBY PLAZA, UMD (via ITV).
