NOTE TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS:
Many graduate programs require that separate program
application materials be sent to them directly in addition to the Graduate
School application. Also, some programs admit for only one term during the academic year.
If you have not already done so, you should immediately
contact your major program or visit their web
site for information about financial aid, start dates, deadlines, and any other additional
program application materials you may be required to submit. Programs
that require such materials will not consider the Graduate School application
for admission until these materials have been received by them.
Please Note: The application fee cannot be waived or deferred, and is
not refundable.
To be considered for admission, the Graduate School requires all transcripts/credentials from institutions of higher learning you have attended – including partial or incomplete transcripts/credentials. In order to ensure timely processing of your application for
admission, we encourage you to send all of your transcripts/credentials
in one envelope. You may mail
photocopies or fax us a legible copy of your transcript/credentials. If
you do fax or send a photocopy, do not send official trancripts/credentials
at this time; if you are admitted, we will notify you then that you must request official or certified
transcripts/credentials to be sent directly from your institution(s). Transcripts/credentials can be faxed to 612-625-6002
or mailed to:
Graduate School Office of Admissions
University of Minnesota
309 Johnston Hall
101 Pleasant St. SE
Minneapolis, MN 55455-0421
As soon as your application materials have been processed,
you will receive notice via e-mail indicating that your application file
is complete or if anything is missing.
